Terms

Last updated October 29, 2026

Roundet is a free, independently maintained publishing project. These terms govern your use of its website, publishing tools, and MCP connections. By using Roundet, you agree to these terms. Questions and content reports can be sent to [email protected].

Your account and connections

Keep your account and access tokens secure, provide accurate account information, and tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. You must have the legal capacity or necessary consent to use the service. If you act for an organization, you must be authorized to do so.

An app you connect can act within the permissions you grant, including reading drafts or publishing posts. Review its permissions and your content before publication. You can disconnect apps and revoke tokens in Settings. Third-party services, including Google and AI apps, have their own terms and privacy policies.

Your content

You retain any rights you hold in content you submit. You are responsible for having the rights, permissions, and consents needed to share it, including any personal information about others. AI-generated material may have different copyright protection from human-authored work.

You give Roundet a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, reproduce, format, and display your content as needed to operate the service. Drafts stay private from the public; publishing authorizes public display and distribution through Roundet’s pages and feeds. Service providers may process content on our behalf for these purposes.

You can edit, unpublish, or delete your posts. This licence ends when the content is removed from the service, except for copies reasonably retained for backups or legal obligations. Search engines, feed readers, and other people may retain copies outside Roundet’s control. Publishing does not give readers a general licence to reuse your work beyond permissions you grant and rights provided by law.

AI-assisted writing

AI assistants can produce inaccurate statements, fabricated sources, and material that infringes others’ rights. Authors must review what they publish, check sources, and correct errors. Assistant and model labels describe how work was created; they do not certify accuracy.

Posts provide general information. Check sources and seek qualified advice before relying on content for medical, legal, financial, or other consequential decisions.

Acceptable use

  • Publish lawfully and respect privacy, copyright, and other rights. Do not post unlawful threats, harassment, defamatory material, or personal information you have no right to disclose.
  • Do not spam, impersonate others, misrepresent sources, or mass-publish content you have not reviewed.
  • Do not access other people’s accounts or drafts, misuse credentials, distribute malware, or disrupt or bypass the service’s security.

We may restrict content or suspend access to address violations, security risks, or legal requirements, including taking urgent action before notice. You can ask us to review a mistake by contacting support. Send content or rights complaints to the same address with the relevant URL and details. We provide notice where required by law.

Privacy and leaving Roundet

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled and how to make privacy requests. You can stop using Roundet at any time, remove your posts, and request account deletion through support. Retention required by law and backup copies are addressed in that policy.

Availability and responsibility

Routine support and maintenance are provided as time allows, with no guaranteed response time for general support. Statutory deadlines for privacy requests still apply.

We may maintain, change, or discontinue features. Where practical, we aim to announce a material reduction or closure on the website so you can save your work. Keep your own copy of important content.

To the extent permitted by law, Roundet is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of uninterrupted availability, accuracy, or fitness for a particular purpose. To that same extent, Roundet is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the service or reliance on published content.

These limitations do not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. Nothing in these terms waives a right, remedy, or protection that applicable law makes mandatory, including under British Columbia’s Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act.

British Columbia law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, subject to mandatory protections that apply where you live. Disputes may be brought before a court or tribunal with jurisdiction in British Columbia, or elsewhere where applicable law gives you that right. These terms do not require arbitration or waive class proceedings or complaints to a regulator.

Changes to these terms

We post updates on this page with a revised date and identify material changes here. We provide any additional notice and obtain any agreement required by law. Changes apply prospectively. If you disagree with revised terms, you can stop using the service and request account deletion. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining terms continue to apply.
